Don’t Let Your Struggle Become Your Identity

It is five fifty in the morning and I am just thinking about a post that I read. In some occasion we read a post or a story and there is something more then what the person is writing or letting us know. Most people get caught up in the sense of life and do not stop to think about their thoughts. There are the news and all the things that are going on in their surroundings. Well some of you might ask what is she talking about. Well there is a lot of us that don’t look around and see that the evil thought of depression is going around. Don’t let your struggle become your Identity.

I lot of people do not know that they have it and others are just scare to ask for help. There are more then thousands of people trying to handle life with depression. *Depression is a mental health disorder characterized by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment in daily life.* Also a Depression state of the body would include people with chronic pain as that the body can not handle the pain so all of the hormones and nerves kick in at once and the body turns to a depression mode.

*Possible causes include a combination of biological, psychological, and social sources of distress. Increasingly, research suggests these factors may cause changes in brain function, including altered activity of certain neural circuits in the brain.
The persistent feeling of sadness or loss of interest that characterizes major depression can lead to a range of behavioral and physical symptoms. These may include changes in sleep, appetite, energy level, concentration, daily behavior, or self-esteem. Depression can also be associated with thoughts of suicide.* (This is what I found in a research )
I remember about 15years ago that I did fall into depression stage due that I have fibromyalgia and I felt like I could not do anything. Just the thought of me thinking that I let in that evil feeling of depression makes me mad. But in that time I did not know how to handle it and now I wish I did.
Just because You are with depression does not mean that you can not change the status of your thoughts and the way that you live and feel. There are baby steps but you can change it for the better. You don’t have to let the depression take over your life and your thoughts.
